Name a Seat Frequently Asked Questions

Why name a seat?

The Newport Casino is the birthplace of American tournament tennis, with the first U.S. National Lawn Tennis Championships being played on the grass courts here in 1881. Today, the Newport Casino is home to the International Tennis Hall of Fame, a non-profit institution that preserves and promotes the history of tennis and celebrates its champions, thereby serving as a vital partner in the growth of tennis globally. Newport continues to be an important stop in professional tennis and is home to the Hall of Fame Open for the Van Alen Cup, the only ATP World Tour tournament played on grass courts in the Americas.

Can I choose my seat?

Approximate seat locations can be requested and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Where available, rows or blocks of seats may be requested and named. The International Tennis Hall of Fame will not be able to guarantee you can purchase tickets in your named seat(s) for the Hall of Fame Open or other events held on center court.

How will I be recognized?

A plaque with your personal dedication will be mounted on your seat(s). The plaques can accommodate a message of 35 characters including spaces. The naming rights to the seat will be for the lifetime of the new stadium seating structure or 50 years, whichever is longer.

How do I make my gift?

You can name a seat using the form above, or you can also contact Diana Weston at dweston@tennisfame.com or (401) 324-4073 to complete your purchase over the phone.
