ABOUT THE NATIONAL TENNIS CLUB
The National Tennis Club (NTC) was formed in 1980 when the original court tennis court, which was destroyed by a series of arsenic fires in 1945 and 1946, was completely rebuilt. The only original details that remain are the floor and some of the lower walls, which date back to 1880.
The club has an active membership of approximately 100 players. It is also one of the busiest court tennis courts in the United States and has a creative play program for all levels, including club handicaps, inter-city play, night leagues, and national and international tournaments. Club members compete worldwide.
MEMBERSHIP
PRIVATE AND GROUP INSTRUCTION
Improve every facet of your game, while learning to hit more consistent winning shots with private and group instruction programs at the NTC. Our pros have decades of championship experience including numerous singles and doubles accolades. Private and group instruction programs are tailored for all ages and levels. Lessons are $80 per hour. Group instructions are based on the number of people in the party.
THE LEGACY SOCIETY
The Legacy Society honors and recognizes individuals who have chosen to include ITHF in their estate plans, by disclosing their intention to leave a bequest or make other future gifts in support of the ITHF, which includes the National Tennis Club. Legacy Society members are special partners in philanthropy who are committed to providing long-term support of ITHF and our mission.

The National Tennis Club entrance is located at 19 Memorial Boulevard, Newport, RI. Member parking is available in the lot adjacent to the club on Memorial Boulevard.
