Tennis Channel Live: Hall of Fame Edition
While we weren't able to gather in Newport this year for the annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and festivities, tennis fans across the country were still able to catch a peak at the beautiful Hall of Fame grounds and hear from two Hall of Famers in a special edition of Tennis Channel LIVE on Saturday, July 18.
Airing on what would have been the day of the Class of 2020 Induction Ceremony, TC Live: Hall of Fame Edition featured a chat with Hall of Fame President Stan Smith who reflected on his own 1987 induction alongside Billie Jean King. Hall of Famer Lindsay Davenport co-hosted the show with 2009 Hall of Fame Open Finalist Prakash Amritraj and frequent Newport visitor Steve Weissman, who all shared their own special memories of the International Tennis Hall of Fame and what it brings to the tennis world.
The show featured segments on the honor of Hall of Fame induction, highlight the museum’s efforts to preserve tennis history, and detailed how fans can their name alongside the legends in the Hall of Fame support the organization’s mission to preserve tennis history through the "Your Name in the Hall of Fame" campaign.
