ITHF ANNOUNCES 2025 BOARD OF GOVERNORS ADDITIONS


The ITHF welcomes new members to its Board of Governors and to its Executive Board, bringing diverse expertise, a shared passion for tennis, and a commitment to inspiring future generations worldwide.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame has announced new additions to its Board of Governors for 2025, which includes three incoming Executive Board Members. Representing a wide array of industries, these individuals bring unique expertise, dedication for philanthropy and passion for the sport of tennis as the ITHF enters a new era of growth.

"The addition of these extraordinary new members to the International Tennis Hall of Fame's Board of Governors and Executive Board marks an exciting beginning to a transformational year,” said Dan Swan, Chair of the ITHF’s Executive Board. “With their diverse knowledge and dedication to the Hall of Fame’s philanthropic mission, these individuals will help continue to elevate the Hall of Fame to new heights."  

The nine new Governors-At-Large include:

EXECUTIVE BOARD:

Tatiana Cancro joins the Hall of Fame’s Executive Board in 2025. As EVP of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, she oversees daily franchisee support and in-house operations, including marketing, sales, real estate, and construction. Before Jersey Mike’s, she spent nine years in New York real estate and a decade in graphic design and IT management. A dedicated philanthropist, she serves on the Make-A-Wish Southern Florida board and supports youth through the United Tennis Association.  

David Goulden returns to the Hall of Fame Board of Governors in 2025, joining the Executive Board. David has over 40 years of global tech industry experience across management, finance, operations, marketing, and product development. He served as Executive VP and CFO of Booking Holdings from 2018 to 2024, before transitioning the CFO role to his successor. Prior to Booking, he was President of Dell Technologies' Infrastructure Solutions Group and CEO of EMC's Information Infrastructure business. Goulden also held senior roles at Getronics and served on VMware's Board from 2007 to 2014. 

Alex Seaver has spent his career in investments, co-founding Stadium Capital Management in 1997, as well as Tanis Venture Management and BMS Partners. He serves on advisory committees for several other investment firms. A Harvard graduate and former varsity tennis player, Alex earned his MBA from Stanford, where he is a guest lecturer and previously served on the Endowment Board. Deeply involved in tennis, he has chaired and served on multiple tennis boards.

BOARD OF GOVERNORS:

Marcelo Bartholo is EY Americas Deputy Managing Principal and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations and strategy across the US and Americas. With over 20 years at EY, he has held various leadership roles, including US-East Region Vice Chair. A strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Marcelo is the Executive Sponsor for the EY Latinx Professional Network. He serves on Carnegie Hall's Board of Trustees and holds dual degrees in Finance and International Business from Marquette University. 

After retiring from professional tennis at the 2016 US Open, Eric Butorac transitioned to a leadership role with the USTA as Senior Director, Player Relations and Business Development. He was also the tournament director for the 2022 Western and Southern Open. On the ATP Tour, Eric won 18 doubles titles and reached the finals of the 2014 Australian Open doubles. He also achieved semifinal results at the French and US Open mixed doubles and defeated top players like Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray. 

Jim Citrin returns to the Hall of Fame’s Board of Governors for 2025. He leads Spencer Stuart’s CEO & Board practice and has over 25 years of experience, completing more than 900 CEO, Board, and top management searches. He served on the firm’s Board of Directors for 20 years. Jim has authored eight books, including You’re in Charge, Now What? and The 5 Patterns of Extraordinary Careers. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Vassar College, he earned an MBA from Harvard Business School with Distinction and was a Board Trustee at Vassar College for 12 years and Wesleyan University for 6 years.

Madeleine Durkin is a lifelong tennis enthusiast and an active Hall of Fame Tennis Club member. After a career at Amazon.com, Accenture, tech startups, and raising three daughters, she now focuses her time on nonprofits and philanthropy. Madeleine is Board Chair and Trustee of the Gilbane Family Foundation in Providence, R.I., and an active volunteer with her alma mater, Brown University. She holds a BA from Brown and an MBA from Harvard. 

Carolyn Ryan Healey is a seasoned leader with expertise in business strategy, marketing, and nonprofit management. She was President of a private foundation for 18 years and now serves as its Director and Grant Manager. Currently, Carolyn is President of the Stony Brook Garden Club of Princeton, focused on environmental preservation. A former Villanova University Athlete of the Year, she holds a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.A. in Philosophy, an MBA from Duke, and an Executive Coaching Certification from Columbia University. 

Katie Hazlett Schmidt is a dedicated advocate for arts and education philanthropy, serving as a Trustee for the Bennington Museum, MASS MoCA, and the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and as President of the Williamstown + Atlanta Art Conservation Center. Her early career was in workplace design. Katie holds a BA in Art History and European History from Wheaton College (Mass.) and attended Parsons School of Design. A lifelong tennis enthusiast, she enjoys competitive tennis and supporting the ITHF. 

Lynn Serpico recently retired as Global Chief Client Experience Officer at Aon, where she was also part of the Executive Leadership Team. She held various roles at Aon, including Chief Client Officer Enterprise Clients, CEO for Multinational Clients, and Retail Industry Vertical Leader. Lynn is an Advisory Board member at Cerity Partners and a former Trustee at Sacred Heart University.

Sheila Ohlsson Walker earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and played team tennis in Germany before becoming a CFA and investment portfolio manager. She later completed a Ph.D. in Behavioral Genetics at King’s College London working on a twin study where she learned about nature, nurture and human development. Sheila now applies cutting-edge science to promote healthy development, especially for youth. She advocates for young athletes through teaching, speaking, writing, and philanthropic support of organizations that activate sport to catalyze lifelong holistic health and positive youth development.
